Director Renjith has decided to keep away from the years' state awards function that is planned to be distributed shortly. Renjith has taken this stand to air his dissatisfaction against the government which is unable to sort out the burning Mullaperiyaar issue.
The people of Kerala fears that the dam if broken down due to earthquakes, may take the life of people dwelling in four different districts of the state. And Renjith maintains that it is not right to celebrate by receiving an award, when much of the state is under fear of a big disaster looming ahead on the cards. Renjith was named for making the popular cinema of last year.
