Why is Aishwarya hiding Aaradhya from the world?

Don’t you think the Bachchan pariwaar is getting a little too over protective with Aaradhya?? We wonder how long will Aishwarya Rai hide the little baby from the world, or rather lets say how long will Ash hide the world from her seven-months-old kid…
First, her name was kept a big secret and now her identity..
There have been several occasions where Ash has been photographed with her little one. However, everytime, the little girl was hidden pretty well, with her face dug into her mamma’s chest and too many clothings to protect her.
In London recently, a lucky fan got a glimpse of Aaradhya, probably for seconds.
What to you guys think about Ash-Abhi’s over protectiveness about their little one?

Red Chilies Idiot Box: Some more shows please..!

Mumbai, Nov. 19 -- My dear Candy has called in for two things early morning. One is to wish that I have a happy weekend and the other is to tell me that he's heard that Shah Rukh Khan may not be doing another TV show himself, but his production company Red Chilies Idiot Box is definitely on a roll.

They have been asked by this channel called UTV Stars to produce at least two more huge shows, hovering on Bollywood. The actor's company previously produced two shows called Live My Life and Up Close and Personal With PZ, one of which has wrapped up while the other will wrap up soon. The channel, impressed with their production quality, has decided to get them to produce two more shows at least. Concepts are still being worked around. Hmm, not bad!

Television star Ronit Roy arrested; 3 injured!

Television actor Ronit Roy has been arrested for rash and negligent driving. He reportedly hit another car with his mercedes today morning while returning from a Diwali party. Three people were injured, including a 56-year-old woman. The police are waiting for medical reports to confirm the amount of alcohol in the actor's blood, reported NDTV. The actor told the channel that he was on his way home from a Diwali party and was not drunk when he hit another car with his Mercedes. Ront has starred in popular TV soaps like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Bandini. Currently the actor plays the protagonist in the television show Adaalat aired on Sony.

Pooja Bedi: Honey bee

Mumbai, Oct. 19 -- Pooja Bedi has been nicknamed by the inmates in Bigg Boss 5 on Colors as the Honey Bee of the House. Apparently, the actor-social butterfly is often seen behaving rather sweetly with everyone on their faces.

She never picks a fight with anyone in the first place but ensures that an on-going fight turns bigger than it can by       passing remarks. She also loves gossiping and talking about one contestant to another. On several instances, contestants Mahek Chahal and Laxmi Narayan Tripathi have caught Pooja in the act.

Kareena Kapoor shakes a leg on television

If dancing on Chammak Challo with television beauties wasn’t enough for Kareena Kapoor, here’s another enthralling performance lined up this Diwali season that will leave her wanting more.
Recently, while shooting for Diwali Rishton Ki Mithas on Star Plus, Anant from Navya was head over heels for the actor as she greeted and danced with the rest of the television artistes.
Anant, who could not get his eyes off Kareena, tried to grab some quick attention before she left and as the old saying goes, ‘Chaand tod lenge’; Anant gave a magnificent performance. Seeing it, the actor, who was quite impressed by his show, happily stepped on to the stage to shake a leg with him when he requested her to do so.

Dirty game!

NEW DELHI, Nov. 3 -- Actor Vidya Balan, who is laying sleaze queen Silk mitha in The Dirty Picture, will be making an appearance on the TV show, Kaun Banega Crorepati.
The idea is to promote her film, but it's not going to be one of those episodes where the stars come and play for charity.
Vidya is going to do a different number. She will enter the show as her reel self, in one of those multi-coloured low-neck blouses from the movie. This is because the movie's story of a girl making it large from scratch matches the show's theme too.

Aamir, Rajini to co-star in social ad

NEW DELHI, Nov. 9 -- Actors Aamir Khan, 46, and Rajinikanth, 60, will reportedly share screen space in an ad film to be produced by the health ministry.
The ad is aimed at raising awareness about malnutrition in children in rural India. "Rajini sir has never done an ad and has agreed to do this one because of the social cause attached to the campaign," says a source.

'Bai' ad pulled out

NEW DELHI, Nov. 10 -- The controversial 'Bai commercial' rolled out by Micromax Mobile, depicting Shiney Ahuja, has been withdrawn by the company after the actor initiated legal action, confirmed Shiney's publicist Dale Bhagwagar.
The advertisement, which tried to take a dig at the Bollywood star who is out on bail for now, had infuriated the actor, who sent a legal notice to the mobile company, claiming that the advertisement amounted to willful character assassination and contempt of court.
The actor had to spend time in jail after being accused of raping his house maid, a charge he has constantly denied. "As we know, Shiney had challenged his conviction and the Mumbai High Court has admitted his appeal, which is currently pending hearing. For the mobile company to air such a commercial influencing public opinion when Shiney's appeal is pending hearing, is equivalent to contempt of Court," the actor's publicist Dale Bhagwagar said.

Slamming Swami Agnivesh for participating in reality show Bigg Boss, Arya Samaj has said that his act has hurt the sentiments of the entire saffron clan. The organisation has even announced his boycott over the issue.
Agnivesh entered the Bigg Boss house on Tuesday night and said he will use the show as a medium to create awareness on social issues. However, his clan is not too happy with his move.
Acharya Baldev, Chief, Arya Samaj, Haryana said: "Not only Arya Samaj, but entire society will face its consequence because he (Swami Agnivesh) has coloured his clothes (in saffron colour). So, all those who have coloured their clothes are in trouble. He should have gone (in the TV reality show) after removing his saffron clothes. He has hurt the religious sentiments of everyone including ancient Hindu organisation and Arya Samaj. He has harmed the image of the saints and sacred people."
"We have already boycotted him from Arya Samaj and in the coming future also we will go on with this boycott. We will completely ban his entry on any functions of Arya Samaj. All the intellectuals from the country will share stage, but he would not be allowed," he added.

Preity Zinta: Talks on for season 2 ?

Mumbai, Nov. 14 -- I don't know if a single soul watched actor-producer Preity Zinta's chat show Up Close and Personal with PZ, but what do you know, it's already on its way back. The actor shot her last episode with once-upon-a-time co-star Anil Kapoor, and that has already been aired.
Whether anyone else went back happy or not, the Bollywood-based channel airing the show, I'm told, is extremely thrilled with the way the show has been 'lapped up' and is planning a second round of fun interviews on the show, that started with Salman Khan as the first guest since he was in the last leg of promotions for his home production Bodyguard.
Since this time PZ's interview subjects were all her male co-stars, from Shah Rukh Khan to Bobby Deol, and Farhan Akhtar to Saif Ali Khan, I'm told the second season will have either a combination of male and female co-stars, or just Preity's favourite female coactors. Hmm, if the latter works out, the show may have a couple of followers, what say?
As for me, I'd watch this show if certain super silly elements were just dropped without an apology, and some more humourous elements were added. Maybe I'd watch an episode at least!

KBC complete its fifth season

Launched in the year 2000, Kaun Banega Crorepati will wrap up its fifth edition this week, completing more than a decade on the tube. Next year, host Amitabh Bachchan will return in the third consecutive season, KBC 6, probably one of the longest spells a Bollywood actor-host has had on his TV show in India.

The current season opened with approximately 5.4 points, and exkbcperienced its highest rating last week with 8 points. Apart from commoners like Sushil Kumar (Season 5) and Harshwardhan Nawathe (Season 1) who’ve been season’s winners, there have been a slew of Bollywood and TV actors who tried their luck on the hot seat.
Of course, none came for personal gains. Each one donated whatever they won to a charity of their choice… that is if they played for money. Aamir Khan, the first ever celebrity to occupy the hot seat in India on season one, won Rs. 50 lakh. So did others like John Abraham-Bipasha Basu, Madhuri Dixit, and Shah Rukh Khan, who won the same amount on both occasions when he participated.
But the only ones to have won a crore so far are actors Ajay Devgn and Kajol.
As season five draws to a close, check out how did the stars perform on the hot seat across the seasons.
Across past seasons
Aamir Khan in 2000 won 50 Lakh
Shah Rukh Khan in 2000 won 50 Lakh
Sanjay Dutt in 2001 won 50 Lakh
Anil Kapoor in 2001 won 50 Lakh
Madhuri Dixit in 2001 won 50 Lakh
Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay in 2001 won 50 Lakh
John Abraham and Bipasha Basu in 2005 won 50 Lakh
Rani Mukerji in 2000 won 25 Lakh
Sakshi Tanwar and Shweta Kawatra in 2001 won 12.5 Lakh
Ajay Devgn and Kajol in 2005 won 1 crore
Smriti Irani and Saakshi Tanwar in 2005 6.4 Lakh
Saakshi Tanwar and Ram Kapoor 25 lakh
Ranbir Kapoor won 12.5 lakh
Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor won 25 lakh
Vidya Balan won 6.4 lakh
Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif won 12.5 lakh

Salman-John: FACE OFF?

Mumbai, Nov. 17 -- Good morning, spanish omelettes! I'm just preparing to leave to see the newborn in the Bachchan family. I can't wait to find out who the girl resembles, paa or maa, or paa ke paa or paa ki maa! I'm just waiting for the florist to drop my customised bouquet of lilies and orchids at my doorstep. I don't intend to go empty handed. Till the delivery boy comes, let me deliver some hot goss from Bollywood.
OMG! Yeh kya hua! My udti chidiya from Karjat has parked herself on my window and is chirping that she's found that Salman Khan and arch-rival John Abraham, who haven't seen eye-to-eye in the longest time, are going to come face-to-face on the sets of Bigg Boss 5 this Saturday.
John is expected to go on to the show with his Desi Boyz co-star Akshay Kumar, whom he became the best of buddies with during the promotion of their film that releases sometime this month. John-Sallu's dushmani dates back to the time when Johnny boy was supposedly getting too close for comfort to Sallu's then-ladylove Katrina Kaif.
However, what transpired between Sallu and Kat is history. But now, I'm wondering what's going to happen when old foes come together after such a long time. Considering they have Akki and the show's host this season, Sanjay Dutt, around, I'm hoping they'll behave like pukka desi boyz, who won't fight again over another girl. They'll probably hug and bury the hatchet. Watch this space for more!

Ajay Devgn: Naach meri jaan..!

Mumbai, Nov. 17 -- I had heard a lot of hulchul around the fact that Ajay Devgn was not only going to attend an award function called Superstar Awards, but was also going to dance on stage to songs from his films like Omkara and Singham. My khabri from the award show sets at Yash Raj Studios says that Ajju didn't dance as such. It was a dialogue and mild dance act.
And the bigger surprise, he didn't perform before an audience of 500 people. There must have been some 100 technicians on the sets when he recorded his performance and left, because he had to complete a recording for Son Of Sardar and leave for London the same night. Hrrmpph! Whatever!

Shah Rukh Khan refuses to anchor Zor Ka Jhatka 2

A year ago, actor Shah Rukh Khan had announced around this week that he would be anchoring Zor Ka Jhatka – Total Wipeout for Imagine. And he did. Soon after the show began, the show’s broadcasters announced that they planned to produce season two of the show the following year.
When asked, Shah Rukh denies that he ever agreed to host another season of the show after the first one.
“I haven’t been offered anything like that. In fact, I decided to anchor the previous season because I needed money. I had told Sameer Nair, my friend and the head honcho of the channel, that I was in need. He had that show which needed 12 days of my time in January. I didn’t have to fly out or make any extra effort. It would be shot at Yash Raj,” he recalls. “Needs met and I earned about Rs 40 crore out of it, which was straight away invested in RA.One.”
If offered, would he anchor Zor Ka Jhatka season two now? “I’m not sure. The timing needs to be right. Besides, it’s too hypothetical a situation to comment on,” says Shah Rukh. A year ago, he had even said that Star Network was in talks with him for another show. “Ideas are always exchanged. It’s not necessary that we turn everything into a business deal,” he explains.
The actor will shoot most of next year with Yash Chopra who returns to direction with a romantic movie. Would he have the time for the small screen then? “I haven’t been offered a likeable concept yet. But if something interesting comes my way, I’ll try and make time for it. I would love to connect with my audience through their TV sets again,” says Shah Rukh, who made his small screen debut with Kaun Banega Crorepati’s third season. “It’s a fun medium to be a part of.”
