Anushka single and lonely

Anushka Sharma says she is completely single and lonely

In fact, according to the B-town buzz, Anushka wasn’t given the part because she was considered too loud for the role. “This is another rubbish report. This film was supposed to be made with newcomers (Boney Kapoor’s son Arjun will also make his debut in this film) and I am no longer one,” says Anushka, adding, “I have known Parineeti for some time as she was on Aditya Chopra’s marketing team and wanted to become an actor. I believe she is good for the role.”
However, Anushka is doing the sequel to Veer-Zaara, which will see her share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. What’s more, the film will mark Yash Chopra’s return to direction after seven years. “It is a great honour to be in a Yash Chopra film and this film is the high point of my career. I look forward to sharing screen space with Shah Rukh and Katrina,” says Anushka.
Meanwhile, the Band Baaja Baaraat (BBB) actor, who is teaming up again with her ex Ranveer Singh in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, confesses she is keen to act with him again. “Why not, if we get a challenging script?” she asks, adding, “It was the same team as the one that worked on BBB and we all had a great time on the sets, but this film is very different from that one.” Anushka will also make a departure from the bubbly roles she has played so far with Vishal Bhardwaj’s Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola opposite Imran Khan. “But contrary to what is being reported, I am not playing a pyscho chick in the film – it’s the role of a girl who is not so normal,” she says.
And while reports about her on-off relationship with co-star Ranveer abound, Anushka maintains she is single. “I have no love life at the moment. In fact, I am completely single and lonely,” she says.
