Shukriya, says Shakira!

Mumbai, Nov. 19 -- This is stuff you'd surely want to live 80 years for. A R 100cr party over five days, Shakira shaking her hips, a R 2.5 crore film made on you, and 500 celebrity guests. And these are just a few of the highlights from DLF honcho KP Singh's birthday bash in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Held in the middle of lake Pichola, at Jagmandir, the fiesta started on November 12.
Colombian pop sensation Shakira stole the limelight, gyrating to her hits, 'Hips don't lie...', 'Waka Waka...' and 'Whenever wherever...' for half an hour at an evening gala hosted by actor Kabir. "Namaskar," said Shakira before starting. She wore a golden bindi, and said during the gig, "This is the second time I've come to Udaipur and I love it."
She also thanked guests with a "Shukriya" before bowing out. Birthday boy Singh couldn't resist shaking a leg with the beauty. "This is the first time I'm having a party like this and I am going to live long to have more have such celebrations," said Singh.
Singer Adnan Sami played the piano before guests chivvied him for his first hit, 'Lift kara de...'. It is said that Shakira charged R 18cr for her act while Sami got R 50 lakh. Earlier, reports speculated guests such as Victoria and David Beckham, Ricky Martin, Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka and Robert Vadra, but none showed up. Former tennis player Martina Navratilova, however, came with girlfriend Julia Lemigova. Also spotted were industrialists Sunil Bharti Mittal, Pawan Munjal and Jyotsna Suri.
